Luke Donald to defend Scottish open title 


World number one Luke Donald will return to Castle Stuart next month so as to try and defend his Scottish open title. 
The 34-year-old Englishman won by four strokes at the Inverness course last year in a game that was raining hard which gave him an awesome


"With the world number one and a host of major champions and tournament winners in the field, we can anticipate another superb week of world class competition on a world class links course."

England vs West Indies is delayed by rain



Heavy rain has delayed the 3rd and final one - day international between England and West Indies at Headingley.


England say that they have won the season after comfortable victories ant the Rose bowl and the Oval.


BBC weatherman Darren Bett said: "The wind is going to strengthen and it will continue to blow the rain across the region. I think it will rain all day."

Williams Pastor Maldonado achieves the fastest time in the first practice session for the European GP in Valencia.
The top nine were covered by just 0.292 secs on the Valencia street track.

Andy Murray says Olympic Gold is the Pinnacle of sport



Andy Murray believes that the greatest achievement in sport is when you win a gold medal in sport. He has been chosen as the first player who will represent GB in the tennis squad for London 2012.


"But in general, to the whole world, a gold medal is the pinnacle of sport. Winning a medal this summer for Team GB is one of my major goals."

Lee Westwood is set for US move




Lee Westwood is set to move to US so as to boost chances of winning a major. 
Westwood, 39, says the British weather has also played a part in his decision to move to the US.


He has announced that he and his family are going to move at the end of this year.


"With our weather it is hard to practice when you want to practise in the UK," he said.

Bradley Wiggins leader of sky



Bradley Wiggins has been elected to lead the sky squad for the 99th Tour de France which will take place on the 30th of June.


"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time and I'll do everything I can to win the Tour de France."


However, Wiggins never really imagined being a Tour de France favourite.

A Goode start

Alex Goode will make his first start for England at full-back for the game South Africa vs England in the final.

"I am really pleased for Alex. He has worked hard in training and has been pushing Mike Brown and Ben Foden close, so we are looking forward to him bringing his footballing skills to this Test," he said.

Carry secures his London 2012 place. David Carry will swim for his third successive Olympics after winning his 400m freestyle gold at the ASA National championships.

"You always dream it will come together on the day so for it to actually happen was so special," said the 30-year-old.

GB star escapes a car crash

Ann Panter was left unhurt by her second serious car crash, which unexpectedly happened 2 weeks before her home Olympic games. The women's GB team are happy to know that she was not hurt and that she can support our country in her home Olympic games.


Joe Hart believes in England's potential


Joe Hart says England are here to win the tournament


England’s Goalkeeper Joe Hart talks about how his team are in this tournament for only one reason, and that is to win the final. He is really happy that his team are in the quarter finals and believes that he and his team can go further through Euro 2012. 

"We would like to leave here having given everything. Whether that makes people happy, or keeps people off our backs, whatever. Just as long [as] we know we have given everything."
